Master of Wine Tim Atkin MW is an award-winning wine journalist (writing regularly for Decanter and Harpers), revered wine judge and co-chair of the International Wine Challenge (IWC), CorkTalk podcast presenter and author of special reports on Bordeaux, Burgundy, South Africa, Argentina, Chile and Rioja.

It’s difficult to distil Tim Atkin’s four decades of wine journalism into a few sentences: his prolific and always rigorously researched writing has been recognised with over thirty awards.

A five-time Glenfiddich Wine Writer winner, seven times Louis Roederer winner, four-time UK Wine Guild Wine Columnist of the Year and Lanson Wine Writer of the Year winner, Tim has also received awards for online writing and his own website, timatkin.com

Fluent in Spanish and French, Tim chairs the Wines from Spain Awards and the Languedoc-Roussillon Top 100. And did we mention he’s a published photographer?

Yet, if you met Tim at Three Wine Men (he’s one of the original three) you’ll know that his real passion is to help you find a wine that you’ll love and would like to know a little more about; an endeavour he’ll continue at WineAlive.

There’s a story in every glass
